Sunbury police have seized a mobile phone with a built-in stun gun following an incident in Sunbury last Thursday 16 July.

Around 3.30pm police were called to reports of an intoxicated teenager in Horne Street.

The 16- year old boy was taken home to his Sunbury address when he told police he had a mobile phone with a built-in stun gun in his bedroom.

Police seized the weapon which is believed to have been obtained in America.

No one was injured.

The boy is expected to be charged with possess a prohibited weapon.

Crime of the week

 

At about 8.30am on Thursday 26 November, 2009 the remains of a deliberately lit fire was discovered at the Mr Donut Factory, Booloora Road, Springvale.
Police believe a rope leading to a forced door, had been soaked in accelerant and set alight.
The fire spread inside the factory, causing damage in excess of 3.5 million dollars.
