Ambush is an exciting new exhibition now on at the police museum.

Focusing on the police murders at Stringybark Creek by the Kelly Gang it show cases a number of objects that have never been seen before, including a hand-drawn map depicting the site of the Stringybark Creek ambush, by the sole surviving police officer nnd Ned Kelly’s blood-stained cartridge bag recovered by Sergeant Steele at the Glenrowan siege in 1880.

The Museum is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday, and admission is free.

Crime of the week

Where is Stephen Troy GATES, who also uses the alias of HODGES? It is alleged GATES was involved in a burglary and kidnapping in Bacchus Marsh in 2008. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
