Members clocked two Mitsubishi sedans travelling at 121km/h in a 70km/h zone on Yan Yean Road, Lower Plenty about 5pm on Sunday 22 May.
Police intercepted the vehicles and both were immediately impounded for 30 days under hoon legislation.
The two drivers, a 25-year-old Wollert man and a 28-year-old South Morang man, are both expected to be charged on summons with traffic-related offences.
Later that evening, the same members detected a Holden Commodore travelling at 107km/h in a 60km/h zone along O’Herns Road in Epping about 9.30pm.
Police intercepted the vehicle and spoke to the 21-year-old probationary driver who also had a 17-year-old passenger in the car.
The Epping man’s vehicle was immediately impounded for 30 days with towing and storage costs of $890.
He is expected to be charged on summons with various traffic-related offences.
