Officers have been told that a 30-year-old Pakenham man was riding his 2015 Yamaha V Star 650, in Pakenham around 10.30pm on Friday night.

He stopped his bike at the intersection of Henry Road and Village Road and was approached by a man on foot.

The man grabbed the throttle of the motorcycle to prevent the rider from driving off and threatened him with an unidentified object.

A second man approached and pulled the rider from his bike and forced him to the ground.

The first man then got onto the bike and rode off and was last seen turning onto Cardinia Road and heading for the Princes Freeway.

The second man ran back to his car, believed to be a dark coloured Camry or Magna, and was last seen driving east along Henry Road.

Police wish to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or with further information.
