The warrants were executed at two business premises in Technical Drive Craigieburn and a residential home in Wallan about 4.30pm.
A search of one of the Technical Drive properties uncovered two allegedly stolen vehicles, a 1992 Toyota Land cruiser and a black Nissan Skyline.
A 41-year-old Wallan man was arrested at the scene in relation to the allegedly stolen cars and has been interviewed.
He has been released pending further enquiries.
Further enquiries led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man at a nearby service station.
The Craigieburn man has been charged with possess methamphetamine, possess prescription drugs and handle stolen goods as it is believed the Nissan Nivara he was driving displayed allegedly stolen plates.
He was bailed by police to appear at Broadmeadows’ Magistrates Court on 31 August 2016.
Detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting incident in Preston and continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
Police are still working to determine whether there are any direct links between those arrested and the incident in Preston.
