Detectives from Taskforce Tense have arrested one final man following two aggravated burglaries committed on residential addresses in Ormond and Brighton East in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Occupants at both addresses sustained bruising and abrasions when allegedly assaulted by the men.

Investigators executed a search warrant this morning at Brunswick St. Fitzroy and allegedly found cash, Chinese currency and other suspected stolen goods.

The 17-year-old youth has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and assault offences. He appeared at a Children’s Court earlier today.

The arrests are part of the ongoing commitment toward dealing with violent gang-related offending seen across southern metro region suburbs in recent months.
