Two males were arrested on Sunday following an alleged aggravated burglary at a house on Packard Street, Berwick on 30 April.

The pair was arrested after allegedly fleeing a stolen motor vehicle in Hampton Park about 2.30am.

A 16-year-old Dandenong boy was charged with theft of motor vehicle and remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

An 18-year-old Hampton Park man was also charged with theft of motor vehicle in relation to the incident.

He was further charged with assault and attempted theft following an incident in Noble Park on 1 January, 2016 and remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 17-year-old Pakenham boy was arrested by police from the Southern Metropolitan Regional Crime Team yesterday following a pursuit through the south eastern suburbs.

The teen was arrested at Dandenong Railway Station about 5.40pm last night.

He was charged with aggravated burglary in relation to two incidents in East Brighton and Ormond on 23 April.

He was also charged with theft of motor vehicle, assault with a weapon and a range of traffic offences including evade police, speed dangerous and conduct endangering life.

The boy faced an out of sessions court hearing last night and was remanded to face a children’s court today.

The Southern Metropolitan Regional Crime Team was formerly known as Taskforce Tense.

The taskforce was initially set up in November 2015 to investigate gang-related burglaries and car thefts in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.

Since its inception, investigators have made over 70 arrests.
