Proactively Policing The Pines
The Frankston STOP team spent this week engaging with the community in the Frankston North area.
Constable Morel (left) with Aldercourt Primary School Principal Wayne Lovie. This was in response to a request from the Frankston North Community Group, who asked if local police could have more of a proactive presence in their community. Obviously, the Frankston STOP Team was only too happy to head into The Pines and talk to the locals.
This type of community engagement really helps build relationships between the police and the community. What do you think? Where else in Frankston and the Peninsula would you like to see more of a presence from our STOP Teams?
Sergeant Brett Daly is now leading our Frankston STOP Team. He was recently promoted to Sergeant at Frankston from the St Kilda Criminal Investigation Unit, and is enjoying his new role at Frankston.
If you see Brett and his team out and about, please stop and say hello.

PLEASE NOTE: We are also aware there is a party planned on the rear oval on Truemans Road, Tootgarook from 7pm tonight. More than 250 people have already said they are going to the event on Facebook and, that being the case, local police will also be attending.
While we are not against people having a good time, advertising parties on social media is risky and we are concerned about public safety.
So, if you are planning on going to this party, remember:
- If you are under-age and caught with alcohol, we will seize it, you will be fined and your parents will be advised.
- If you supply alcohol to minors, you will also be fined.
- If you get drunk, you will be arrested, lodged in the cells and fined.
