Police investigate Melbourne theft

Melbourne West police are investigating a burglary in William Street, Melbourne on Tuesday 6 November.

A man entered the cafe through a side door just after it closed around 4.36pm.

A large sum of money was stolen before the man left via the same door.

Investigators have released an image and CCTV of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as 30-40-years of age with a dark complexion.

At the time of the incident he was wearing blue clothing, a baseball cap and carrying a back pack.
