Sunshine police arrested two people overnight after stumbling across an allegedly stolen car in St Albans.

Patrolling officers noticed the white Porsche parked on Lahy Street about 3.20am and didn’t take much time to realise it was previously listed stolen.

Upon searching the vehicle, police also discovered an allegedly homemade firearm and taser inside and arrested two people at the scene.

A 43-year-old Roxburgh Park man will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today over charges including theft of motor vehicle, handle stolen goods and possess handgun.
